“The Open Door Project is an interactive multi-sensory experience involving artists from different realms and disciplines creating cohesive conceptual imagery-driven art. The music, visuals and moving bodies support the themes and stories running as an undercurrent throughout. Emotions find a color and movement finds purpose. Music finds company in a symphony of words and stories, visuals and lights, movement and design. The aim of the live act is to re-create the space from where our art derives, the moment of inspiration, with the hope to extend an invitation to the listeners to dive with us into the themes, the images, the thoughts and philosophies driving the music and visuals. Often the pieces move between different phases, different scenes, and different experiences. The artists try to capture that essence of creation with extensive use of technology. Live looping, real-time sampling and effects processing, visual mash-ups and video feedback, lights made of humans and humans made of light, the project is forever experimenting to find new intuitive ways of making and presenting their works.”To experience this unique performance by The Open Door Project, come out on Friday to Give Luck A Chance!

About

The Professional Arts Consortium (ProArts) is an association of six neighboring institutions of higher education in the Boston area dedicated to the visual and performing arts. Our member schools are Berklee College of Music, The Boston Architectural College, The Boston Conservatory, Emerson College, Massachusetts College of Art and Design, and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.

ProArts is committed to providing its member schools with exciting opportunities to expand their vision of the arts through programs such as expansive cross-registration privileges, and inter-institutional courses.

ProArts Connect is an online platform to collaborate across six Boston based arts colleges. Create an account with your school email address at www.proartsconnect.org to make connections, post and search for events, buy and sell, advertise or find services, and to find housing.
